Boo! at bahdeebahdu: More, More, GORE!
Thursday, October 29, 2015

Our second annual Boo! at bahdeebahdu was a huge success thanks to RJ Thornburg and Warren Muller of bahdeebahdu, our hosts extraordinaire.

Messapotamia Lefae, our administrative assistant, magically danced her way down the stairs. John Jarboe and Heath Allen of the Bearded Ladies Cabaret, entertained the crowd doing a bearded take on Marlene Dietrich.

We are also grateful to David Hall of Joshua’s Catering, Moore Brothers Wine Company, Tired Hands Brewing Company, Tim Bellew Food and DJ Wrong, a.k.a. David Talento of

V15 Bachelor Auction Heats Up The Night

Front 1The V15 Bachelor Auction on Feb. 12 at Boxers PHL was a stunning night in oh so many ways.

First, there were the more than 200 people who packed Boxers. Add to that the many volunteers and sponsors who made the event possible, as well as the fabulous drag performers. (We’re told it was the first drag show ever at Boxers.)

Last, but certainly not least, there were more than a dozen of Philly’s finest bachelors, who raised the temperature in the room, as well as more than $5,500 for the AIDS Law Project of Pennsylvania.

We owe a huge debt of gratitude to event organizers Sean Doan, Dr. Josh Moore and Juan Baez, the AIDS Law Project’s deputy managing attorney, as well as hostess Roxy VonFresh.

BOO! at bahdeebahdu, October 30, 2014

We’re still buzzing about the wonderful night that was Boo! at bahdeebahdu on Thursday.

There are many people to thank, including the great crowd that showed up, but we want to highlight a few of them.

RJ Thornburg and Warren Muller of bahdeebahdu were hosts extraordinaire, and their drag rendition of Sisters from White Christmas had folks singing along.

Jimmy Two Fingas’ high-energy performance pumped up the crowd, then Miss Finesse Ross slayed them as Grace Jones.

Among the many others we are grateful to are Flying Fish Brewing Company, David Hall of Joshua’s Catering, Kermit’s Bake Shoppe, Moore Brothers Wine Company, Tim Bellew of Tim Bellew Food and David Talento of

Finally, a special shout out to Juan Baez and Sean Doan, who were fabulous as Joan Rivers twins and did so much to make the night a success.

One Divine Night, May 12, 2011

One Divine Night was a Divine Success!  On Thursday, May 12, 2011 more than 100 friends and colleagues joined us for One Divine Night, a very special evening in support of the AIDS Law Project of Pennsylvania.  Guests were treated to a rare peek at the George Pearson-designed mansion on Broad, formerly owned by Father Divine–founder of the Peace Mission Movement.  WMMR’s Pierre Robert dazzled the crowd as Master of Ceremonies.  Guests marveled at emotional and entertaining performances courtesy of the late Jaci Adams, George Bullock, Karen Von Say, and Finesse Ross – The Captivating Queens and King of Illusion (featured in the above photo).

Four-star food and delectable drinks were generously provided by Tim Bellew catering at FARE, Moore Brothers Wine Company and Flying Fish Brewing Company.
